Distinctive Worship At Lighthouse Reformed
Biblical Path of Worship
-
Historic Christianity
We stand within the historic Christian faith confessed in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Chalcedonian creeds. -
Reformed Theology
Our doctrine is rooted in the Reformation and the historic teachings of the Reformed tradition. -
Word and Sacrament Worship
Christian worship centers on the preaching of Scripture and the faithful administration of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. -
Weekly Communion
The Lord’s Supper is celebrated every week as the covenant meal of the church and a central act of Christian worship. -
Family Worship
Children are encouraged to worship alongside their parents as members of the covenant community. -
Training Children in Worship
Families who are still training young children may use a nearby room where the service is streamed by video so that parents can continue participating in worship while helping their children learn the rhythms of the service. -
Complementarian Leadership
We believe Scripture teaches that qualified men serve as pastors and elders while men and women serve together in the life of the church. -
Spirit-Empowered Christianity
We affirm the ongoing work and gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the church.
